Barry the Social Box

So far when talking about our new project with The Children’s Society on the blog, we’ve mainly focused on the launch, the partnership and what we want to achieve – namely, raising the Society’s profile, helping vulnerable children and raising at least £10,000.

What we haven’t gone into any depth about yet is how we’re going to achieve those aims. It’s time to put that right.

Stage One
The first thing we need to do is get the word out about what we’re doing, and to do that we need your help.

We’ve set up a special page on our website (click here to see it), which explains a bit more about the whole project. If you want your school to take part, it’s where you’ll find the information and downloads you’ll need to do just that, along with links to The Children’s Society’s MyLife4Schools resources.

It also gives you the opportunity to spread the word about Barry the Box on various social media, while setting in motion our fundraising effort at the same time. Because on that page you’ll be able to tell your friends, family and colleagues about your support for the project on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn and a host of other sites.

And the best news of all is that for each of the first 10,000 likes, shares, pins and follows, we’ll be donating 10p to The Children’s Society.

That means you can start helping us to raise those much needed funds for The Children’s Society right now, while costing you nothing more than a few seconds of your time and a couple of clicks of your mouse!

And before you know it, we’ll have our first £1000 to hand over to The Children’s Society.

Stage Two
Well, that’s still to come. All we can say about Stage Two at the moment is that the poster competition is going to play a very important part in it all and that some very special cardboard boxes will also feature. And that’s it’s going to be a lot of fun and will involve everyone – schools, children and regular Davpack customers alike.

We’re really excited about it and we’ll reveal more about it all over the summer, so keep following us on Twitter and Facebook, and keep reading these blogs, to stay right up to date with the latest news.

In the meantime, don’t forget to head over to our special page, spread the news and help us get off to the best possible start!
