Discover the fun side of cardboard boxes
If you buy your packaging from Davpack or read this blog on a regular basis, you’ll be aware that we take cardboard boxes pretty seriously.
And that’s only right, because corrugated cardboard is, bar none, the most effective and the most popular packaging product on the planet. It’s also incredibly kind to the planet, as it’s made from mostly recycled materials, is reusable, and 100% recyclable and degradable.
And when you add to all that the fact that we have the biggest choice of in-stock cardboard boxes available online in the UK and that cardboard boxes are, by some considerable distance, our biggest selling range, you quickly understand why we devote so much of our time promoting them and their incredible effectiveness as a means of storing and transporting all kinds of things.
But there is a lighter side…
On the other hand, if you check out our Facebook page and our sister site, Cardboard Boxes Online, you’ll also be aware that we’re more than happy to highlight the fun side of our favourite packaging product – and it doesn’t take much hunting online to discover that there are plenty of others out there who seem to agree with us.
One of the main categories into which the lighter side of cardboard boxes falls is their popularity with all kinds of animals. Domestic cats and dogs are the main stars of the animals and cardboard boxes videos that proliferate on the web, although that may as much down to the fact that they have better access to more cardboard boxes than most, especially while a convenient human with a video camera stands close by. But other animals like them too, as you’ll see when you take a look at this video of some big cats playing with them!
The other thing that strikes you if you examine the online face of cardboard boxes outside the world of packaging is just how creative some people can get with it. Whether they’re recreating scenes from famous Hollywood movies, making fun things to keep the kids entertained or creating stunning pieces of art, it seems there’s no end to the possibilities offered by this most flexible of packaging materials.
Of course, these two categories don’t have to be distinct as this fine page showing a kitten in a cardboard tank clearly demonstrates!
101 uses for a cardboard box – and counting
We reckon there must be hundreds of similar sites and videos in the far flung corners of the world wide web, perhaps involving uses for cardboard boxes that even we haven’t thought of or come across before – and you can be certain that we’ll keep on bringing them to you whenever they cross our path.
A the same time, there are sure to be some we miss, so please do draw our attention to any you see, perhaps by posting a link in the comments section below, and we’ll post them either on Cardboard Boxes Online or onto our Facebook page.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you soon!
