Made from 50 micron / 200 gauge low density polythene, these medium duty gusseted poly bags have an expandable side gusset which increases the volume of the bag enabling it to accommodate larger and bulkier materials. They provide inexpensive moisture and dust protection in numerous applications and are used extensively for lining shipping boxes, packaging powdered or granular products, industrial materials, computer software, agricultural products, food and mail order despatch items.
Available from stock in 13 sizes ranging from small gusseted bags to large pallet sized bags. They can be heat sealed, taped or twist tied and are also available from stock in 3 other gauges:
Lightweight 12 micron / 48 gauge
Standard 30 micron / 200 gauge
Heavy Duty 100 micron / 400 gauge
The size of a side gusseted poly bag is always expressed as "x" wide opening to "y" wide times the length. E.g. if a bag is stated as 100 x 150 x 200 mm this means it is 100mm wide when flat, opening to 150mm including the gusset, with a bag length of 200mm.
