Introducing air cushion packaging

When you order a roll of bubble wrap, most of what you’re having delivered and then having to store is actually air. With air cushion packaging, we just deliver the plastic film to you and you put the air in it yourselves! That may sound like we’re asking you to do our job for us, but we think you’ll very quickly find that the advantages of air cushion packaging outweigh the disadvantages.

You’ll first discover that flat rolls of film take up much less space than the bubble – valuable room that could be doing something a lot more productive or constructive! And the air machine itself is also very small – just 360x330x280mm – which makes it easy to move around, so you can make your own packaging exactly where and when you need it.

And don’t go thinking that having to fill the films with air is going to slow you down at all. A microchip fitted into each roll means the machine can detect which film has been loaded and knows immediately how much air it needs to put in – and once it gets going, it can fill up to 7.5 metres a minute!

Did you mention something about saving more than 50%?

We did. If you buy five rolls of our 1500mm x 200m small bubble wrap a month, you’ll be getting about 1440 cubic feet of packaging a year for an outlay of about £3060 (based on current online prices).

An equivalent volume using our Small Quilt film would require 41 rolls at a cost of about £1830. Of course, you need to buy the machine as well, but that still means that in the first year you’d already be saving almost £400. In the second year, with the machine bought and paid for, you’d save over £1225! That’s about 40%!

If we up the amount you use, however, to 10 rolls a month, the savings get even bigger. At those levels you could end up saving over £1250 (about 22%) in the first year and almost £2100 in the second – that represents a saving of about 57%!
