Horse Box Help
As the vast majority of Davpack’s Customers are trade, rather than private individuals, most of the cardboard boxes we sell come in multipacks. Partly this is because they are likely to need them in larger quantities, and partly it means we can keep the unit price lower than if we sold them one at a time. However, there are a few you can buy individually, and these tend to be the larger, heavy duty boxes used for export.
We recently received an email from a lady who had a toy hobby horse she wanted to send to her grandson in Hong Kong. The horse was apparently just under a metre in length and she reckoned it would fit diagonally into one of our 800 x 600 x 300mm single wall cardboard boxes (ASW156). However, ASW156 comes in packs of ten, which meant that she’d have paid quite a bit more than she really wanted or needed to and would have ended up with nine spare boxes.
Let Davpack help you find the right packaging!
Angela contacted her to get the exact dimensions of the horse to see if she could find something more useful. It turned out to be 98cm long, 22cm high and 22cm at its widest point. Knowing her way around our products better than most – well, she has been with us for over ten years! – Angela was able to quickly identify a far better solution to our Customer’s packaging dilemma.
For the smallest of our export boxes which don’t need to be bought in packs is a very handy 986 x 486 x 400mm heavy duty double wall box (you can find it here). Not only did it mean that our Customer could buy just the one box, she’d also be paying over £35 less than she would have done if she’d bought the ten-pack. And to cap it all, she even ended up with a far stronger box, which would protect the hobby horse a lot more effectively into the bargain!
Getting the right packaging products for our Customers is always the priority for our Sales team, regardless of the value of the final sale. And with over 3800 items available through our website, which they work with every day, it’s just possible that they can find a more cost effective solution for you. So if you think you’re paying too much for your packaging, why not call us today on 0844 800 9844 and discover how much money we can save for you?
