‘Over 3800’ packaging products clearly isn’t enough

We’ve recently added another massive selection of new packaging materials to our website, across our Cardboard Boxes & Cartons, and Polythene, Protective and Postal Packaging categories.

Of most immediate help to the thousands of companies relying on Davpack’s next day packaging service will be a significant expansion of single and double wall cardboard boxes. That’s good news for us and those who buy them, but bad news for our web monkey Olivia, who’s got to track down every single mention of how many sizes we sell on the entire internet and increase the numbers accordingly! We are also, by the way, introducing 28 new sizes to our range of brown and white foam lined postal boxes (the slider ones) and some pallet sized No Nails plywood boxes. All this means that we’re now laying claim with confidence to having Britain’s biggest range of in-stock cardboard boxes!

There’s also now a further 15 new sizes of medium and heavy duty polybags; even for an experienced marketing professional, they’re not the easiest thing to plug in a dynamic way, but there’s no getting away from the fact that those new sizes should prove both handy and popular, and it means we’ll be able to supply what we like to call ‘just the right size’ to even more of our customers.

But we’re not just introducing more versions of what we’re already selling – there are some brand new products becoming available as well. One of those we’re most excited about is Air Cushion Packaging; it’s a way of doing what bubble wrap and loose fill do, but which takes up a fraction of the space. One little machine can create air cushions capable of doing a whole range of other things as well, such as interleaving and block and brace.

Another new void fill system we’re introducing uses rolls of recycled brown paper to produce a sustainable packaging system designed to improve performance, productivity and shipping quality. The paperwork for this has literally just landed on my desk, and as soon as I’ve got to grips with it myself, you can be sure you’ll be hearing a whole lot more about it!

And that’s still not all, because we’re also introducing pop-up (or crash lock) postal boxes – they’re the ones where you just unfold the flatpacked box and it immediately clicks into the right shape without the need for head scratching or a higher diploma in origami. They can save a huge amount of time on your packing line so are well worth checking out if speed is of the essence in your despatch department!

Last, but by no means last, we’re also introducing our very own range of bubble, or padded envelopes. And this being Davpack, we’re introducing them at about 25% below the price of any of the other padded envelopes we sell. And before you ask, they’re as strong and reliable as you’d want and expect – we just like helping our customers save a few extra pounds!

You can, of course, find out more about our new ranges on our website. Otherwise, try clicking on the g+1 button to the right. That will allow you to register on Google+ and follow our page there. There’s not a whole lot there at the moment, I’ll be honest, but over the next few weeks it’s going to become the home for all kinds of useful information and a repository for all you need to know about Davpack and packaging in general. We’ll also be telling you a lot more about these new products and reminding you about some other items from the dark corners of our main website that you may have forgotten about (or even not realised were there in the first place!). You might even find the odd bad joke.

And, if you’re really lucky, we’ll have some special offers available only to those who go there!
