Ribbon wound or pancake steel strapping is exceptionally strong and durable and is ideal for securing export cases, sharp edged objects, heavy duty transport packaging, bundling and pallet banding. Supplied in cold rolled ribbon wound coils with sheared and dressed edges for safety with a black painted finish for added rust protection.
Each layer of ribbon wound steel strapping is wound directly over the one below, like ribbon or tape, so that the width of the steel strap is the width of the coil itself. Ribbon wound steel strapping coils contain less metal strap than oscillation wound and are therefore lighter, easier to handle and suited to low to medium volume use.
