The Company was originally founded as Davenport Paper Company by Henry Davenport in 1968 and specialised primarily in the supply of retail packaging to local shops and traders. In more recent years, the Company expanded significantly under the trading name of Davenport Packaging and the management of directors Terry, Paul and Carole Davenport, to become a leading UK industrial packaging company and specialist in the supply of custom packaging solutions to industry, commerce and retail.
Following the expansion of its central UK warehousing facility, the Company introduced a corrugated cardboard box production plant that has delivered huge benefits to Customers in terms of the range of corrugated boxes and cartons available, speed of delivery (especially for custom sizes) and low prices.
In 2004, with the increasing expansion of its national Customer base and growth of new channels such as the internet, the Company became known as Davpack. Although it still firmly retains its roots in packaging supply, as the Company continues its growth into other areas, the change of name to Davpack reflects new energy within the business and a forward thinking approach to satisfying Customer's packaging and associated requirements.
