 Davpack is one of the few and foremost mail order packaging supplies companies in the UK. It is part of the global business equipment group, TAKKT.

Davpack together with Ratioform comprise the European Packaging Solutions Group of TAKKT, which is the second biggest direct packaging supplier of packaging in Europe, with an impressive range of over 5,600 stock packaging items and over 1m sq ft of warehousing.

 

Davpack was founded by Henry Davenport, as Davenport Paper Company Ltd and became known as Davenport Packaging, before being abbreviated to Davpack as a memorable web domain for customers wishing to buy packaging materials online.
Established in 1968, Davpack quickly became a key supplier of cardboard boxes, polythene packaging, paper bags and retail packaging to shops and businesses in Derby and the surrounding Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Coventry, Birmingham, Sheffield ‘East Midlands and South Yorkshire’ area.

 

Sons Terry and Paul Davenport joined the family business (along with Terry’s wife Carole), to carry on the family tradition and branch Davpack out into the supply of mail order packaging in the 1990’s. The company also became a cardboard box manufacturer, and gained BS5750/ISO9001 internationally recognised quality accreditation for the supply of packaging materials and manufacture of cardboard boxes.

 

Having become established as a leading mail order packaging company, Davpack became the first in to go online in the late 1990’s, establishing Davpack as the original UK packaging company.

 

Over the past decade, the company has achieved significant growth, as product ranges, staff and warehousing have been expanded to deliver next day packaging supply on a wide range of in-stock products.

 

In early 2012 Davpack joined forces with Ratioform and then formed the Packaging Solutions Division of TAKK. Terry and Carole Davenport retired, and Barney Byfield joined as managing director, with Paul Davenport continuing the family tradition as sales director.
