Merry Christmas and Happy New Products!

New Packaging Materials

We could have taken the opportunity to look back at the year just gone in this, our final blog of 2014. It has, after all, been a very busy year for us, which has seen literally thousands of new products added to the website, our printed catalogue double in size, the release of our mobile optimised website and the launch of an exciting initiative and special range of charity packaging in conjunction with The Children’s Society.

But at the moment, we’re mostly excited because we’re heading into 2015 with another new set of products that we think you’re going to like.

First up is a new range of foil and gloss coloured padded envelopes that you’ll find in the Postal Packaging of our website. These come in a range of beautifully bright and eye-catching colours that could really add some sparkle to your mailouts and stick in the memory of the lucky recipients when they land on their doormats. Colours available include silver, pink, purple and orange, which would make a lovely bright change from the usual kraft paper options. But, of course, they don’t just look good – they’ve also got some quality bubble wrap inside to offer the same level of protection you’d expect from standard Jiffy bags.

Offering an existing product in a different colour can, by the way, have a practical as well as an aesthetic result. Take polythene sheeting and pallet shrink wrap, for example. For years, we’ve been selling these in clear plastic only and they’re popular products with businesses of all types and sizes. But what if you don’t want just anyone to be able to see whatever it is you’re using them to cover, or perhaps they could be light sensitive. Introducing black plastic sheeting and black shrink wrap for pallets! You’ll find these in Polythene Packaging and both are now in stock, and can be dispatched to you almost as soon as you place an order!

Another existing range that we’ve added a new twist to is cardboard sheets. Previously, much of the range was aimed at separating layers on a pallet, but now we’ve brought in 32 new single wall sizes ideal for separating layers in your cardboard boxes. To distinguish them from the other group, we’ve called them Cardboard Layer Pads and you’ll find them in our Corrugated Cardboard section. By the way, if the size you want isn’t listed, custom sizes are easily available – just ask for a quote!

As an alternative to using those cardboard sheets between layers of boxes on a pallet, you can make your load even more stable by using our new Anti Slip Sheets instead. They’re effective up to an angle of 450 and can also be used on other materials and containers, such as sacks, plastic, bags and glass. They’re even exceptionally friendly to the environment, being made from recycled materials, reusable and recyclable. You’ll find these in the Pallet Boxes & Pallets section.

Another new product to be found within Corrugated Cardboard is Honeycomb Cardboard Packaging, which is another environmentally friendly product and is a seriously and surprisingly strong alternative to polystyrene sheets. We’ve also introduced a new selection of metal and plastic lockers which can be used as staff lockers, in changing rooms at gyms and swimming pools or even outside in all weathers.

Last but not least, we are also now supplying a new range of budget card envelopes, plus a couple of new types of carton, which are called Long Tuck and Long End Chipboard Boxes, and which are ideal for heavy small parts and components.

If you want to know more about any of these new products, check out their individual pages on the main Davpack website, or you can always give our Sales team a call on 01332 821200.
