New product news!

If you’ve been paying attention to our Twitter feed and Facebook page, you’ll know that we’ve recently added a few new products to our already extensive range of packaging products.

In some cases, we’ve just extended a range, with extra sizes now stocked of bubble tubing, our own gold bubble envelopes, board envelopes and large letter and small parcel postal boxes. Others are variants on existing themes: rolls of bubble wrap with perforations every 200mm for easy tearing; low cost crash lock boxes with a standard carton top; clear polythene bags with a pre-printed safety warning; and handy packs of shredded tissue in a range of beautiful colours to add some real zizz to your retail and gift packaging.

Then there are things we’ve always done, but which we’ve now made easier to cost up and order. So, you can now see prices for getting a range of our standard cardboard boxes printed in up to three colours (other sizes are available!); and we’ve also added egg box foam packaging to match our Econopost postal boxes, but do feel free to ask if you’d like some to match any other styles in the range, such as our pizza style and small parcel saver boxes.

There’s even a range we used to stock and are now reintroducing, due – as the saying goes – to popular demand. So you can now get varigauge carrier bags in two sizes and 17 stunning colours, from apple green to burgundy and sky blue to gold and silver.

But this wouldn’t be Davpack if we weren’t regularly introducing completely new ranges and new ideas. One of those we’re most excited about is Sealed Air Instapak foam packaging. It’s a great idea – you have flat bags delivered (which take up a lot less room than rolls of bubble wrap and bags of loose fill), which self inflate in the box, moulding themselves around the contents as they go. The result means any contents are held safely and securely in place ready for dispatch.

Another new product we’re particularly keen on is a range of tubular clear plastic gift boxes with black and red end caps. They’re ideal for all kinds of gift ideas – and would look even better finished off with a couple of handfuls of that shredded tissue I was telling you about dropped in to protect whatever it is you decide to put in them. With 15 sizes of cylindrical tubes and another 15 square tubes to choose from, we think this is going to be a real hit with retailers, or gift, promotional and cosmetics companies, to name but a few!

There are two new additions to our Edge and Corner Protection range, comprising 1200mm lengths of edge protectors with perforations every 200mm (much like the new bubble wrap mentioned earlier), and some corner protectors designed for use with large and bulky items. Both are made out of 6-ply, 18mm moulded corrugated paper and bring some formidable new strength to the range.

Last, and most definitely not least, we are now supplying foam in bag form, as well as rolls and sheets. That means this most gentle and non-abrasive of all our protective packaging solutions is now available in a far more convenient form, making it much quicker and easier to use than before.

In the coming weeks, we’ll go into more depth about some of these, so you can better understand their myriad beneficial properties and how they might enhance your packaging. In the meantime, we’re already starting to think about the next group of new ideas we can find for you, in our never-ending quest to source the finest packaging products on the market, delivered, in the traditional Davpack manner, faster and cheaper than any other UK packaging suppliers.
