Royal Mail parcel pricing

We have labelled our postal packaging according to the Royal Mail pricing bands. Please note that:

· The external size of a letter can be up to 240 x 165 x 5mm
· The external size of a large letter can be up to 353mm x 250 x 25mm
· The external size of a small parcel can be up to 450 x 350 x 160mm
· The external size of a medium parcel can be up to 610 x 460 x 460mm
· You also need to take the weight of your parcel into account

Postal boxes
We have checked the external sizes carefully, and properly folded and creased, each box should fit into the category stated. However, where the external dimensions of a box are particularly close to the limit, extra care should be taken when constructing and packing the box to ensure you do not accidentally go over that limit. No responsibility can be taken by Davpack should any box be charged by your post office at a higher rate than the one stated.

Telescopic postal boxes
Sizes given for these telescopic boxes are for lids fully down. Please ensure if using the variable height facility that you measure the final height to check the resulting category. Book boxes
We have labelled all our book boxes and book wraps according to the Royal Mail pricing bands. Please note that many of these have variable heights that depend on the size of the contents. We have therefore taken into account the length and width only, and care should be taken when packing to ensure the height and weight do not go over those permitted for the desired pricing band. No responsibility can be taken by Davpack should postage for any of these boxes and wraps be charged by your post office at a higher rate than the one stated.

Padded, polythene and protective envelopes
We have labelled all our padded, polythene and protective envelopes according to the Royal Mail pricing bands. Please note that we have taken into account the length and width only, and care should be taken when packing the bag to ensure the height and weight do not go over those permitted for the desired pricing band. No responsibility can be taken by Davpack should any bag be charged by your post office at a higher rate than the one stated.
